8-Day Kenya and Tanzania Safari

8-Day Kenya and Tanzania Safari

8-Day Kenya and Tanzania Safari, This busy 8-day tour includes the biggest volcanic crater in the world, the biggest lake in Africa, and the world’s best savannahs. There is every kind of wildlife in these famous settings, from big cats and elephants to wildebeests and colorful birds.

Kenya and Tanzania both have world-class parks that almost seem to be better than each other in terms of the animals, natural sights, and culture sites they offer.

We’ll start our adventure in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara Reserve, which is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and thousands of wildebeests and zebras that come together to graze. Then we’ll change gears and go through Tanzania to see the huge blue shores of Lake Victoria, which is Africa’s most famous body of water.

The Serengeti’s huge plains call to us, so we’ll switch back to intense game watching mode and move across this huge area of lion country. We will also visit Olduvai Gorge, which is the best preserved place of prehistoric people. Then we went to the amazing Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to a lot of different kinds of wildlife. Finally, we went to Tanzania’s Tarangire Park to look for lions, elephants, and zebras.

Are you all set? Eight days of going on adventure with only the best animals that East Africa has to offer!

Make your safari trip unique.

When you book your trip with Safari Trips to Kenya, we’ll always give you a choice of options and the chance to make it your own. You can switch your trip to Lake Victoria for an extra day at Masai Mara or the Serengeti. Just let us know.

What’s Cool About These Parks?

The Masai Mara is always amazing to see because it is home to 95 species of animals, all five of Africa’s “Big Five,” many prides of lions, and thousands of wildebeests on the Great Migration.

The Serengeti, which is across the Mara River and on the border with Tanzania, is home to an enormous number of grazers that herd, give birth, and fill the vast fields with the amazing sight of their numbers.

It would be too simple to say that the Ngorongoro Crater is unique; it is the world’s biggest intact volcanic crater. But what’s even more amazing is the wide range of animals that live in this blue-green area. This area is home to many kinds of wildlife, from cats to flamingos.

Our safari ends in the beautiful Tarangire Park, home to many elephants and other big animals. It’s the best way to end this very full two-country safari trip in Africa.

The Added

You can enjoy extra safari activities like breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the bush, traditional dances around the boma, massages, aromatherapy, Ayurveda, special diet menus, dinner at a Maasai farm, game walks, and views of a natural watering hole, among other things.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Meet your new best friend, your Safari Trips to Kenya driver/guide, at 7:30 am. He or she will be there in a 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep to pick you up for your safari journey. Your guide will tell you about all the wildlife and parks he has seen and learned about over the years.

We’ll leave and head south through the central mountains of Kenya, stopping to look at homesteads and small towns along the way. As we drive along the cliffs of the Rift Valley, we’ll stop to rest and enjoy the beautiful views of the valley.

When we get to the Masai Mara National Reserve, we’ll clean up at our lodging and eat a big lunch.

After that, you’ll go on your first of many game drives over the next eight days. Each one will be different. Enjoy the beautiful views of the park’s rolling hills, and soon you’ll see your first animals.

We’ll go back to your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and maybe talk about your first day of adventure.

Day 2: Full Day at the Masai Mara

It’s your first full day of game drives! The Masai Mara has a huge variety of landscapes to discover. Your guide will be looking for lions, buffalo, rhinos, and all other kinds of wildlife. The area is famous for having a lot of groups of lions and other big cats.

We’ll bring a picnic lunch to eat at the Mara River, where wildebeests and zebras sometimes come in large groups during the Great Migration.

You might want to add on some of the things we offer to make your safari more enjoyable. Going to the nearby Maasai town is a great way to change things up and learn more about the culture. You can meet these native people, learn about how they live, and maybe even join in a dancing ceremony.

Sign up for a hot air balloon tour over the park if you want to have a safari experience you’ll never forget. You’ll get up with the sun and see the park come to life… Stunningly beautiful!

Our second night on safari will be spent at our Mara lodge or camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Victoria

Let’s take an early morning game drive to see as much of the Masai Mara as we can. Then we’ll go to Tanzania, crossing the border at Isebania.

We’ll switch cars here and meet our new driver/guide for Tanzania.

Lake Victoria is our next stop. We’ll get there in the late afternoon and clean up at our camp.

We’ll have time to look around the lake and maybe even go to the nearby Bunda Market.

We are going to have dinner and sleep tonight at our Lake Victoria lodging.

Day 4: Lake Victoria – Serengeti National Park

We’ll take a guided trip, look around Lake Victoria’s surroundings, and visit a fishing village this morning. This culture event will teach us about the traditional way of life in the area, such as how to fish and sell local goods.

We are now going to the nearby Serengeti Park, which is another huge environment with lots of animals.

We’ll get there in time for a game drive in the afternoon, which will give you your first look at this famous reserve.

We’ll plan our full day in the Serengeti tomorrow as we settle into our lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Full Day Serengeti Game Reserve

Are you ready to watch a lot of games? We have planned a full day of game drives for you on these big, busy fields.

You can choose how busy you want to be, though. You can spend the whole day in the Serengeti or just go on trek in the morning or afternoon. Talk to your guide about what you want to do.

People know the park for its over 3,000 lions and many wildebeests and zebras. But you can also see gazelles, elands, impalas, warthogs, cheetahs, zebras, and hippos near the lakes.

You’ll want to unwind and unwind at your Serengeti lodging after a busy day.

From Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater on Day 6,

We are going to go down into the world’s biggest volcanic hole today. Before we leave the park, though, let’s take one last game drive through the Serengeti.

When you get to the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll see a magical world full of color and animals. We’ll drive down the crater wall to get to this ecosystem’s floor.

For now, we’re going to look for rhinos, elephants, cows, hippos, and of course cheetahs and lions. There is a lot of wildlife in this universe that is cut off from the rest of the world.

We’ll eat lunch at one of the many places with beautiful views, and then we’ll go on more game drives in the afternoon.

Then there’s a special treat: we’ll climb back up the caldera wall in the late afternoon to see a beautiful African sunset from the edge of the crater!

We will get to our Ngorongoro lodging for the night as the light fades.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire Park

Up early enough, we can see a beautiful sunrise from the edge of the crater. What a great way to start the day! Next up is Tarangire National Park.

There are a lot of different kinds of animals in this small but beautiful park, but there are a lot of elephants.

The park also has its own small migration, which is a special treat for people who go on safari.

Our last night on safari will be spent at our Tarangire lodge or tented camp.

Day 8: Tarangire Park – Arusha or Nairobi

Before our trip is over, let’s go on one more morning game drive.
