BEST OF KENYA TANZANIA SAFARI

BEST OF KENYA TANZANIA SAFARI

BEST OF KENYA TANZANIA SAFARI, 7-DAY – 4 PARKS: MASAI MARA/SERENGETI/NGORONGORO CRATER & LAKE MANYARA
Masai Mara and Serengeti are the two best parks in the world. On this full-week safari, you can see both of these nature wonders. These are some of the world’s most densely populated areas with wild animals, and you’ll see a huge herd of wildebeest and zebras make their way from the Serengeti to the nearby Mara lands.

This tour across borders will take your breath away as you see these huge fields that are home to millions of grazers and thousands of big cats. But there’s still more adventure to come as we head to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the world’s biggest intact volcanic caldera.

The Ngorongoro Crater is so big that it’s almost hard to believe. Its environment is cut off from the rest of Africa and is home to a huge range of animals, such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, and even huge groups of pink flamingos.

Lake Manyara, our last park, is a small gem that is full of wonders. Wild birds like pelicans and flamingos live near the lake. But if you look up at the trees, you’ll see something very strange. People go to the park to see the unique groups of lions that climb trees. What a great way to end a week of traveling through Kenya and Tanzania, two countries famous for their safaris.

The best places for a tour

If you came to Africa to see lions, leopards, and cheetahs, you’ll love the Masai Mara. It has lots of big cats, rolling green hills, and beautiful acacia trees. In this, Kenya’s most famous park, you can also see jackals, hyenas, and other small predators.

The Serengeti, which is in Tanzania but across the border, could be thought of as the Mara’s sister park. The Serengeti’s vast plains are home to more than 3,000 lions. They are all part of the same rich environment. This huge area is where a huge number of wildebeest and zebras breed and start their yearly journey to the Masai Mara, known as the Great Migration.

Ngorongoro Crater is a natural wonder of the world because it is so stunningly different from any other place on Earth. There are a lot of different kinds of animals living in this huge, intact volcanic crater. You can see lions, buffalo, gazelles, zebras, hippos, and water birds, among other animals.

When compared to the big parks we’ve already talked about, Lake Manyara is a small gem where you won’t have to go far to find wildlife. There are lots of beautiful birds in the lake, and you can see lions sleeping in the trees, which is pretty scary. Are you ready for the best of Safari over 7 days?

Extras for Safari

You may be able to enjoy extras like a breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the bush, traditional dances around the boma, massages, aromatherapy, Ayurveda, special diet menus, dinner at a Maasai farm, game walks, a view of a natural watering hole, and more.

BEST OF KENYA TANZANIA SAFARI

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara 4 Hour Drive

7:30 am: You’re about to start your week-long safari in Africa! Safari Trips to Kenya’s driver/guide will pick you up at your hotel, home, the airport, or any other place you choose. Be ready to get into the private 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep.

We’ll be going south to the Masai Mara National Reserve as soon as you get in. We will drive through the central mountains of Kenya and see the local farms and towns. We’ll take a break from the ride to rest and take in the stunning views of the Great Rift Valley cliffs.

Entering Maasai country, keep an eye out for the local herders in their colorful shukas, tending to their cattle.

Arriving at the park around lunchtime, we’ll freshen up at our accommodation, enjoy lunch, and then begin our first game drive of this exciting week.

The Mara is easy on the eyes with its green rolling hills, dotted with signature acacia trees. It won’t take long before we begin to spot the wildlife, the park is thick with animals – predators and grazers.

Toward late afternoon, we may be treated to one of the park’s blazing sunsets. This is the Africa you dreamed about.

We’ll rest, eat, and talk about our first day on safari at our Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara

Today you can go on as many game drives as you want. You can explore as much or as little as you want. Just discuss with your driver/guide how you would like to plan your day. You always have a choice.

But to get the most out of your time in Masai Mara, get up early to see the park and its animals lit up by the soft morning sun. You’ll enjoy making your first sightings of the day whether it be gazelle, zebra, or a lion on the hunt.

We’ll take a picnic lunch and head down to the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles in their natural environment. From July to October, this is where the Great Migration happens. Thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle will cross into the park from the nearby Serengeti, making for a spectacular show.

It is an awesome show of raw nature in play – the grazers… and the predators who await them.

You might want to see this movement and the park from above to get a different view. Take our optional hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara. When you wake up in the morning, the park comes to life, and you’ll float slowly over the rolling hills and savannahs. An unforgettable event.

By the time we get back to our lodging for a relaxing dinner in the evening, there will be another beautiful sunset.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Serengeti 6 – 7 Hour Drive

Before we leave the Masai Mara for Tanzania and the Serengeti, we’ll go on one last game drive. At the border town of Isebania, we’ll go through the formalities, switch vehicles, and meet our new driver who will be our guide for the next several days.

You’ll notice that the Serengeti is very different from the Masai Mara because it has huge, almost treeless plains. But don’t be fooled, this immense environment is home to thousands of lions and millions of wildebeests and zebra.

It is in the Serengeti that these huge groups of grazers breed and have babies before joining the huge migration into the Masai Mara.

We’ll settle into our Serengeti safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Full day at Serengeti

Once more, we’ve planned a full safari day so you can enjoy this expansive and bustling reserve.

We’ll go for morning and afternoon game drives… but again, you may also carve out time for rest and relaxation at your hotel.

The Serengeti abounds with a stunning diversity of species — we’ll be hunting for lions, cheetahs, zebra, gazelle, eland, impala, hippos, and warthog, amongst others. However, it is impossible to overlook the enormous herds of countless wildebeests that occupy this vast, untamed area.

We’ll surely have stories and sightings of the day to tell this evening over dinner at our Serengeti safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater 3 – 4 Hour Drive

Another very full day awaits us as we take our final game drive through the Serengeti, leaving the park on our way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

But before we get there, we’ll stop at Oldupai Gorge, which is famous for having well-preserved artifacts from early man. This is the spot where thousands of fossilized remnants of tools and other artifacts were discovered. A brilliant record of our evolution from millions of years ago.

Next on our trip of amazing sights, we’ll look down at the huge Ngorongoro Crater, which is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. This area is its own world, full of big game and all kinds of other animals and birds.

Hold on tight as we drive down the steep crater walls and find a unique ecosystem full of lions, leopards, elephants, rare black rhinos, large groups of zebras, hippos, and even pink flamingos!

The wildlife on the large crater floor does very well because it is cut off from the rest of Africa. Our field of exploration today will be this blue/green world, where we will find all kinds of wildlife.

We’re taking a picnic lunch with us and will stop at Ngoitoktok Springs to eat, relax, and watch hippos and water birds, like the bright flamingos that line the shore.

So, we’ll spend the rest of the day looking for lions, elephants, buffalo, antelope, zebras, and other animals.

As the sun goes down, we’ll make our way back up the crater wall in time to see one of Africa’s most famous sights: a brilliant, fiery sunrise at the edge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara Park 1.5 Hour Drive

Let’s get up early because an astonishing sunrise meets us back at the crater’s rim!

In a moment, we will go to Lake Manyara National Park. The park presents us with a change of venue and a change of pace. The bright pink flamingos that live along the lake’s edges make for a beautiful contrast in this small but very lovely reserve. Yet another magnificent moment on your African safari.

Now look up, and you might see a cat sleeping in the trees. The strange tree-climbing cats in Lake Manyara Park are well known. As stated, the park is a special spot to relax and enjoy the beauty, variety, and colors of nature.

Dinner will be served at our Lake Manyara lodge or tented camp.

Day 7: Lake Manyara Park – Arusha – Nairobi

Today is our last day on safari, so we’ll take one last game drive through the park to feel its unique charm and see more of those tree-climbing lions and the pink flamingos that cover the ground.

We’ll also look for gazelle, giraffe, impala, hippo, and baboon.

Then we’ll go to Arusha, where you can be dropped off at your hotel or at Kilimanjaro Airport, which is close by.

You can also head back to Kenya and its capital of Nairobi where we will bring you to your hotel, the international airport, or other location of your choice.

From the great fields and big cats of the Masai Mara and Serengeti to the world of wonder down in the Ngorongoro Crater to the lovely sightings at Lake Manyara, this has been a non-stop tour of everything an African trip can be. We hope you loved every minute of it! We loved showing you our special world. At Safari Trips to Kenya, we all want to thank you for your business.
