Press the “e-services” button.
Pick out “e-Visa Application Form” and click on it.
Please upload and attach a copy of the applicant’s scanned visa papers.
After that, the candidate will get an email with a User Identification Number (User ID) that can be used to keep track of the application online.
After completing an online visa application form, the person wanting to get a visa will need to pay visa fees.
The candidate will send in his application once the payment goes through successfully.
Lastly, the applicant will get a message letting him know that his entry was received.

TRACKING THE eVISA APPLICATION:

Once the application has been sent, the candidate can use the ID number he was given during the application process to check on the status of his application.

HOW TO GET A TANZANIA eVISA:
GENERAL (SINGLE ENTRY) VISA:

This visa is given to foreigners for visiting, tourism, leisure, vacationing, going to a conference, doing humanitarian or charitable work, visiting family, getting medical care, or any other reason decided by the authority granting the visa. It can only be used once and is only good for 90 days.

The following should be sent with an application for an ordinary visa:

A legal passport copy (biographic page), a flight return ticket (not required), a fully filled-out declaration form, and a fifty-dollar visa fee.

MULTIPLE VISA:

This visa can be given to foreigners who plan to visit the United Republic of Tanzania more than once for business or pleasure. Directors of companies registered in Tanzania who don’t live in the country, people attending bilateral meetings, people married to Tanzanians or residents, government consultants, representatives of international NGOs, and anyone else the Commissioner General of Immigration or Commissioner of Immigration Zanzibar thinks is proper.

This Visa (Multiple) is also given to American citizens who want to come for vacation or tourism but can’t get an Ordinary Visa. This Visa is only good for 12 months at most. The person with the Multiple Visa, on the other hand, can’t stay in the country for twelve (12) months in a row. They have to leave the country no more than three times a year.

People from the United States who want to visit Tanzania for vacation or tourism MUST choose this type of visa when they apply online.

Copy of the applicant’s valid passport (biographic page); 100 USD visa fee; valid passport or national ID of the person being visited in Tanzania (host); A covering letter from the host institution explaining the reason for the visit and how often it will happen; A marriage certificate and passport or national ID of a spouse, if the applicant is coming to visit a spouse; Any other proof that the visitor needs to visit the United Republic of Tanzania often.

BUSINESS VISA:

Foreigners who want to come to the United Republic of Tanzania for one of the following reasons can get a business visa for up to 90 days:

Reasons for:

In order to do special tasks like fixing tools or giving short-term training, etc.
To do short-term professional tasks like auditing accounts, doing feasibility studies, making business and professional contacts, setting up investments during the startup stage, and so on.
To do any other short-term legal business-related job that is allowed by the country’s laws and as decided by the issuing authority.
What’s needed:

Copy of the applicant’s legal passport (biographic page); a flight ticket for the return trip; and a visa fee of $250 USD.
A work contract or any other proof of the work or task that needs to be done within three months; or

TRANSIT VISA:

This type of visa can be given to people from other countries who are just passing through on their way to another place outside the United States for up to seven days. The person applying for this visa might have to show proof of a visa for the country they want to visit and/or a ticket to get to their next stop.

The only people who can get a transit visa are travelers who only want to pass through Tanzania. It can’t be used for vacations.

A copy of the applicant’s legal passport must be shown (biographic data page).
30 USD for a visa.
A permit to enter the country or a ticket to get to another country.

STUDENT VISA:

For a fee of fifty dollars, students who need to visit the United States for school-related reasons for up to three months can get a student visa. People who come for the same reason for more than three months will have to pay $250 USD. Students who want to do study, on the other hand, will have to pay 550 USD and get a Student Visa that is good for up to two years.

VISA HOW TO PAY:

This can be done with a Visa or Mastercard, or by Swift transfer, which means putting money straight into your bank account at the bank counter.
Applicants will get a message letting them know that their fee payment has been received after they have made it. Before leaving on the trip, he or she will wait for the visa to be approved.

ENTRY PORTS:

People whose visa applications have been accepted must now enter the United Republic of Tanzania through one of the five designated entry points. These are:

JNIA stands for Julius Nyerere International Airport.
Kilimanjaro International Airport was built in 1960.
The Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (AAKIA) is near the Namanga and Tuduma borders.

People who want to apply for a visa should only do so through the official Tanzania Immigration website (www.immigration.go.tz), not through any other links.
It is assumed that anyone applying for a visa has read, understood, and accepted to the terms and conditions set out in the Disclaimer and Visa Guideline.

Before sending in their application, people must make sure that their passports are still good for at least six months and have at least one blank visa page.
The applicant should make sure they ask for the right type of visa. Anyone who wants to apply for a visa but isn’t sure what kind they need should email info@immigration.go.tz for help.

Any visa that is applied for incorrectly or doesn’t have enough attachments can be turned down;
If your visa application is turned down, you will not get your money back.
Visa applications will be handled within ten days, so people who want to apply are strongly encouraged to do so within the time limit allowed.

After paying, applicants have to wait for their Visa to be approved before they can start their trip. Their email address will be sent an approval message. Or, they can check the status of their visa online to get the Visa Grant Notification. The Tanzania Immigration Services Department can tell the person why their visa was denied or not.

People who are applying for a Referral Visa should not book flights or make any other plans in Tanzania until they know if they will be approved for the Visa. Referral Visa applicants should send in their applications at least two months before they plan to travel. The list of countries that can issue Referral Visas can change at any time, so applicants should check our website often.
Visa rules and requirements can change at any time, and candidates may not be told about the changes ahead of time.

It’s important to remember that having a visa doesn’t mean you can enter the United Republic of Tanzania. An immigration officer at the entry point can refuse to let a visa holder in if he thinks that the holder can’t meet the requirements for immigration or if the person or visitors’ stay in the United Republic of Tanzania would be bad for the country’s interests.
