10 Day Kenya And Tanzania Safari Tour Exploring 6 Iconic Parks

10 Day Kenya And Tanzania Safari Tour Exploring 6 Iconic Parks.

Ten full days to see the best of Kenya and Tanzania, with three parks in each country. You will see both the Serengeti and the Masai Mara, which are both very large parks that are on the edges of two different countries. It’s there that you can see wildebeests and zebras moving from one park and country to another.

Kenya and Tanzania both have unique parks that amaze people who go on safari. At Amboseli Park, you can see beautiful groups of great elephants walking around in front of the snow-capped beauty of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

In Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Crater, you can go down into the world’s biggest intact volcanic crater, which is full of animals. There are lion groups here, as well as rhino, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and cheetah.

This ten-day safari tour is meant to give you a good mix of time to enjoy the wildlife and natural sights of these two East African countries. Few people can say they’ve been to both the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. But soon you will!

What’s Cool About These Parks?

From Nairobi, you’ll go through the Rift Valley and end up at the charming Lake Nakuru National Park, which has beautiful acacia woods, waterfalls, and the lake itself. Here you might see both black and white rhinos, as well as lions and leopards as well.

Then we’ll go to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, which is home to a lot of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, big cats, and many other species. When the wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles come into the park every year on their Great Migration, you can see them all here.

The next park we’ll be visiting is Serengeti National Park, and that’s where those thousands of herding grazers are coming from. More than 3,000 lions live in these huge, treeless savannahs. The leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant, eland, impala, and warthog will all be on the lookout with us.

Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s biggest intact volcanic caldera, is the next place we’ll visit. It’s one of the most interesting places on Earth. We’ll be tracking the big cats and all of Africa’s “Big Five” as we go down into this blue-green world. Then we go to the strange Tarangire National Park, which has lots of elephants, strange baobab trees, and huge termite mounds.

When we talk about great tuskers again, we’ll cross back into Kenya and get to Amboseli National Park, which is famous for being the best place to see great elephant families. You’ll see them moving in front of the impressive Mt. Kilimanjaro, which is covered in snow. A wonderful end to your ten-day, six-park, two-country excursion tour!

10 Day Kenya And Tanzania Safari Tour Exploring 6 Iconic Parks

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

7:30 am: Is your safari gear packed and ready to go? Get ready for 10 full days of wildlife viewing! Your Safari Trips to Kenya driver/guide will arrive in a private 4 x 4 Land cruiser Jeep. Join us as we drive through the Great Rift Valley, taking in the views of its dramatic cliffs. We’ll arrive at Lake Nakuru Park in the late morning and enjoy the lake and its surrounding acacia forests. The park is a great place to see water birds (sometimes flamingos!) and rhinos (at a special sanctuary). You can also see lions, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and many other species. In the evening, we’ll retire to our safari lodge or tented camp to relax, eat, and talk about the first day of our trip.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara

We’re in safari time, so let’s get up early and take a game drive through the park to see the birds and animals come out as the sun comes up.

After breakfast, we’ll head to the Masai Mara, stopping along the way to rest and take in the view.

When you get to the Great Mara, you can check into your new place to stay and clean up. or just go on the first of many game drives through the park’s pretty hills.

You can’t miss the unique acacia trees that grow in Africa; they add even more color to this amazing park. With so much wildlife in the park, you won’t have to look hard or for long to see some of it. These Mara lands are home to more than 95 kinds of mammals.

You might be lucky enough to see one of the park’s beautiful sunsets in the late afternoon. At that point, you’ll know you’re in a very special place. We’re going to go back to our Mara lodging for a calm night.

Day 3: Full Day at the Masai Mara

We’ll leave early for this day of free game drives. There are many groups of lions in the Masai Mara, as well as cheetahs, buffalo, antelope, hyenas, and many other animals.

To get the most out of our time on the grassland, we’ll bring a picnic lunch and might eat it at the Mara River, where wildebeests and zebras cross from the nearby Serengeti. We will look for crocodiles and other big cats in the river because this is an interesting place where predators and grazers meet.

You can add new aspects to your safari by doing these two optional things: Going to a nearby Maasai town to meet the locals and learn about their way of life will help you understand other cultures better.

Sign up for the hot air balloon tour over the park if you want to do something really unique. As dawn breaks, you’ll float up as the park comes to life, its sights lit up for the first time. A adventure moment you’ll never forget!

We’ll spend the night at our Mara lodging, where we can share stories from the day over a wonderful meal.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Serengeti Game Reserve

Today, we’re going on a foreign safari. At the town of Isebania, we cross into Tanzania.

The Serengeti and the Masai Mara are both part of the same environment, but the Serengeti looks different because it has no trees on its vast plains. But it has just as many kinds of animals, maybe even more cats.

We’ll get to the Serengeti in time for a game drive in the afternoon, which will help us get a better sense of its look, feel, and “vibe.” A lot of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles give birth here before going to the Masai Mara.

For dinner and some rest, we’ll go to our Serengeti lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Full Day Serengeti Game Reserve

We will see lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elands, klipspringers, gazelles, warthogs, and even hippos as we drive across the huge Serengeti. It will be a great day for exploring!

As always, you decide how fast or slow your tour goes. You can choose to see animals in the morning, afternoon, or all day. You can make your choice.

During the months of January and February, you might see a lot of wildebeests and zebras giving birth. From July to October, the Great Migration takes place across to the Masai Mara. The young will be grown up over the next few months so they are ready for the trip.

We’ll take it easy and share stories this evening at our Serengeti lodging.

Day 6: Serengeti Game Reserve – Ngorongoro Crater

A fun day is coming up! After leaving the reserve, we’ll get up early for another game drive through the Serengeti. Next, we’ll head to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, which is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera.

Hold on tight as our 4×4 drives us down the steep crater walls and into this magical area of green forests where all kinds of animals live, from lions to pink flamingos.

After lunch, we’ll keep an eye out for rhinos, buffalo, elephants, and, of course, big cats. We might see hippos at one of the park’s lakes.

We’ll go back up to the edge of the caldera in the late afternoon to see one of Africa’s most famous sights: a beautiful sunset lighting up the rim of the crater.

After lunch, we’ll go to our Ngorongoro game lodge or tented camp to rest and eat.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater -Tarangire Park

Remember how beautiful the sunset was last night? Let’s wake up early so we can see an even better sunrise from the edge of the crater!

Next, we’ll go to Tarangire National Park, which is a small but very pretty park. We’ll go on a game drive in the afternoon to look for the park’s famously large elephant groups.Animals also come to Tarangire in large groups, with more than 250,000 coming each year.

We are going to spend the night at our Tarangire home.

Day 8: Tarangire Park – Amboseli Park

As usual on safari, we’ll get up early to go on another drive through the park looking for animals.

Once we finish breakfast, we’ll leave for our last park, Amboseli, crossing back into Kenya at the town of Namanga.

It is Kenya’s second most famous park, and it is surrounded by the snow-capped beauty of Mt. Kilimanjaro and is home to huge groups of elephants. Because their numbers are so stable, you can be sure to see them walking back and forth.

By late afternoon, the clouds that usually cover Kilimanjaro’s peak might be gone, showing the mountain’s stunning peak.

On our eighth safari night, we will stay at our Amboseli house or tented camp.

Day 9: Full Day at Amboseli Park

Early in the morning is the best time to see the park, so let’s make the most of the day and go on our first game drive.

There are many other animals that we might see in the park besides elephants. These include lions, cheetahs, cows, wildebeest, gazelles, monkeys, and many rare birds.

We’re going to stop at Observation Hill so that we can see different kinds of scenery and animals in every direction.

We might get a second chance to see Kilimajaro’s snowy peak in the evening if we’re lucky.

And on our last night on safari, we’ll relax and eat at our Amboseli lodging.

Day 10: Amboseli Park – Nairobi

As a seasoned safari-goer, you know what to expect: we’ll get up early for a pre-breakfast game drive to look for elephants, lions, gazelles, antelope, and other animals. After breakfast, we’ll have our last game drive through the park and then head off to Nairobi, stopping for lunch and taking in the views. Ten days, six parks, and so much wildlife and scenery! Enough to make memories and stories that will be told over and over again. We hope you enjoyed your two-country safari as much as we enjoyed showing you all the beauty of East Africa.
