NGORONGORO CRATER FULL DAY SAFARI FROM ARUSHA

NGORONGORO CRATER FULL DAY SAFARI FROM ARUSHA

NGORONGORO CRATER FULL DAY SAFARI FROM ARUSHA, A World Heritage Site by UNESCO. “The Garden of Eden in Africa.” Yes, Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania is the world’s biggest intact volcanic caldera. It is often called “The Eighth Wonder of the World.”

But what does that mean for people who are just coming for the day?

You can expect to find a blue/green world full of every kind of African mammal in numbers and groups that have never been seen before. There are lions, leopards, bull elephants, rhinos, and more here, and you can see all of the “Big Five” in one day. This world has more than 30,000 animals, more than any other place on the continent. It is in a big volcanic bowl that is only 264 square kilometers (101 square miles) in size.

As for the birds, there are cranes, storks, herons, pelicans, kingfishers, and a royal pink carpet of fluttering flamingoes by the lakes and ponds in this fairy land.

Come with us as we explore this strange world.

Your Africa This is an isolated environment with grasslands, forests, and marshes covering the crater floor. Your Kenya Safaris driver/guide will take you down the 609 m (2,000 ft) crater walls in your 4 x 4 Jeep. Each setting has its own way of celebrating wildlife.

There are a lot of acacia trees in the Lerai Forest, which is home to baboons, monkeys, waterbucks, and the big tusker bull elephants that live on the crater floor. In this area, you might even be lucky enough to see a leopard.

Over a thousand pink flamingos come to the shore of Lake Magadi every day to eat. The lake is made up of blue and green algae, which is where we might have lunch. Big cats, jackals, elands, and rhinos may also be seen along these rivers.

This is a beautiful place to take pictures because Ngoitoktok Springs bubbles up from the ground nearby. While we rest, we might see hippos in the small pool and big hawks flying overhead.

The Grasslands Around Volcanoes

Remember that we are in a volcanic crater. The soil here is made up of rich volcanic ash that was dumped here hundreds of thousands of years ago, making it a good place for plants to grow. The thousands of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, buffalo, waterbuck, hartebeest, eland, spotted hyenas, blue monkeys, and black rhinos that live here depend on this plant life.

We’ll also be on the lookout for lions all day in Ngorongoro because this craterland has the highest population of these majestic big cats in Africa.

There are birds everywhere.

A lot of different species live on the fields and grasslands as well as by the lakes and marshes. These include the ostrich, the Kori bustard, the weavers, the larks, the storks, the starlings, and the lovebirds.

More birds can be seen in the sky if you look up. You might see buzzards, the secretary bird, vultures, tawny eagles, and kites.

There is a huge variety of wildlife on the ground, in the marshes, and in the sky that we will see on your tour. You will have a full day in this rich Eden, which is the best-preserved volcanic paradise on Earth.
