Our Collection of Great One-Day Safaris

Our Collection of Great One-Day Safaris, What makes you think that going on vacation takes a lot of time? You might think that safaris are different from day trips in Kenya. If you are in Nairobi, Kenya, though, you can go on some great one-day treks in any direction. We’ll leave early in a modified 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep to go to wildlife parks with cool names like Ol Pejeta, Hell’s Gate, Naivasha, and Nakuru.

You’ll be able to see huge groups of elephants walking along the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro in just a few hours. You’ll also be able to see hippos and colorful birds at high-altitude lakes and get close to endangered rhinos and chimps at a special conservation area.

Kenya Safaris in Africa has a lot of fun one-day safari tours to wildlife parks. On game drives and walking, sailing, or even biking safaris, you can see big cats, zebras, giraffes, and other animals you might not expect. We will be learning a lot about the land, the animals, and even the people who live in East Africa today.

Amboseli National park

Have you ever seen pictures of Mt. Kilimanjaro covered in snow with groups of elephants standing in front of it? That picture was taken in Amboseli Park, which is a photographer’s dream and an elephant lover’s dream. You will definitely see a lot of these magnificent tuskers here.

But in this busy and well-known park you can also see lions, cheetahs, giraffes, cows, and strange birds.

We’ll get going early so that you have plenty of time for the three big game drives we have planned. After breakfast, we’ll go see the elephants in the park. Look for birds of prey like falcons and eagles in the trees and sky above you.

We can even plan a visit to the Maasai at their home town if you’d like. You will get to know these native people and see their homes and way of life up close.

We’ll also have lunch, and in the late afternoon, we’ll head back to Nairobi.

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta says it has all of Africa’s “Big Five” animals: the lion, the leopard, the elephant, the rhino, and the buffalo. It’s also the closest park to Nairobi where you can see they all. Also, chimps and rhinos, which are both in danger, live there and are protected in special areas. It’s also one of the few parks where you can see the rare African wild dog.

Before we leave, we’ll take a look at Mt. Kenya from the road and stop at the interesting spot where we cross the equator. We’ll be looking for big game at Ol Pejeta, which has the most predators of any park in Kenya. On the way, we can also stop at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. This is the only place in the country where you can see these smart and playful animals.

The parks around Lakes Naivasha, Nakuru, and Hell’s Gate

Since these Rift Valley lake parks are close to each other, we can visit all of them in one day. We can also stop at the nearby Crescent Island Sanctuary. Strange bird species live in the lakes, such as cormorants, herons, kingfishers, and sometimes bright pink flamingos.

There is a rhino refuge near Lake Nakuru, and leopards have also been seen here. You can go on a sailing adventure across the blue waters of Lake Naivasha and see hippos, antelope, and zebras grazing on the shore nearby.

The third level of Lake Nakuru National Park

In the beautiful Hell’s Gate Park, you can ride your bike past steam vents and giraffes, gazelles, and buffalo that are feeding. Lastly, go on an organized walking safari on Crescent Island, which is close by. You can get close to zebras, impalas, and lots of different colored birds.

Breakfast and lunch are included in all of these full-day trips. You will also have your own private 4×4 Safar Jeep and a knowledgeable, friendly safari guide. You can tell us where to pick you up—at your hotel, the airport, or somewhere else. You just need to get in touch with us!
