A Boom of Wildlife in the Summer
Have you heard of the Great Wildebeest Migration? It has been called the biggest gathering of animals on Earth and one of the most amazing nature shows in the world.
Around a million or more wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and other animals cross the Mara River in search of food and water starting in the summer months of June and July. They come from the Serengeti, where they breed, to the Masai Mara Reserve.
On this regular trip, all kinds of dangerous animals wait for them, including crocodiles in the Mara River and lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas further afield. As a result, there is a dramatic show of survival for both hunters and prey. Most of the invading grazers make it out alive and continue their journey through the Mara lands in a long train.
Remember that all of this will happen this summer when you plan your vacation.
Yes, the beach is open in the summer.
Wildlife and big, green savannahs are the first things that come to mind when you think of Kenya. Kenya does have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with 1420 km (882 mi) of untouched beachfront. Diani Beach, which has been named the best beach in Africa three times, is one of our favorites.
Its clean, empty beaches are a nice break from or a place to start your adventure in Africa. You can swim, kayak, or dive in the clear Indian Ocean near Diani. The coral reefs are full of colorful tropical fish, turtles, dolphins, and other sea creatures.
