Kenya’s busy city is also the safari capital of Africa because it gets so much sun. You can get away to the wild with lions, leopards, and buffalo just minutes from the city’s busy downtown area. There are safe places for giraffes and baby elephants to live even in the city itself.

Masai Mara Lodges & Tented Camps
The Masai Mara National Reserve has the most diverse and dense ecosystem in the area. It is home to many big cats, elephants, and endless groups of wildebeests and zebras. There are also the most lodging options (at least 40) in this area.
Some of them are set up by the Mara River so that you can see the hippos and crocodiles. Some people live on the edges of the grassland and see zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and gazelles. All of them are great ways to end your tour day.

Most of these places to stay have views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s largest peak, and are in or close to Amboseli National Park.
