Masai Mara Safari Packages
Because there are so many animals in the Mara, you will have no trouble seeing Africa’s “Big Five”: the lion, the leopard, the buffalo, the elephant, and the rhino. You will also see 95 other mammal species, such as giraffes, antelopes, elands, topis, foxes, jackals, and hyenas, and a huge variety of birds.
You can start your safari in Nairobi, Mombasa, Diani Beach, or one of the other resorts along the coast of Kenya. From there, all roads and routes lead to our most famous park, the Masai Mara.
Road Safari in the Masai Mara
Want to really enjoy all that Masai Mara has to offer? We are the only ones who can give two-day, three-day, or longer Masai Mara Safari Holidays to the reserve. Each day you’ll drive a special 4×4 Landcruiser Jeep over golden hills and look for all kinds of animals.
You’ll go down to the Mara River, where the Great Migration crossed, where alligators wait and other dangerous animals like lions and cheetahs look for food.
From Nairobi, the drive to the Masai Mara park is beautiful. When you get into Masai land on one of our safaris to the Masai Mara, you’ll see people from the surrounding groups taking care of their flocks in brightly colored wraps.
Safari in the Masai Mara by Air
We also have fly-in and fly-and-drive Masai Mara Safari Holidays if you want to get to the park quickly. We’ll take you to an airport in Nairobi or close to your beach lodge. As you sail over Kenya in the early morning, the sun will be shining on the fields and woods.
There are only a few hours left until you land at an airport close to the park. When you get there, your guide will meet you, take your bags, and lead you to your private 4×4 Land Cruiser Safari Jeep. You can clean up at your Masai Mara hotel or, if you’d rather, go straight to the first of many game drives in this amazing park.
Talk to the Maasai.
Since hundreds of years ago, these people have lived on these lands and are what the Great Park is named after. Men wearing bright striped wraps or shukas will be easy to spot as they take care of their sheep and cattle, which fits with their rural way of life.
Visit one of the Maasai villages while you’re in the park. There you can meet the people who live there, see their bomas, and learn about their culture and traditions. You might even be able to join in one of their famous hopping dances!
Maasai people also take care of the areas around the Masai Mara. These are called conservancies and are made up of carefully protected tracks of land. You might also want to check out these less popular tourist spots because they have lots of wildlife and you might even get to spend time with a Maasai guide.
During any of our Masai Mara Safari Holidays, we can set up a visit to a Maasai town or a safari park right next to the park.
When would you like to go?
The big cats and many other animal types never take a break during the year. You can always see them on the park’s vast savannahs.
The weather here is warm and sunny most of the year. So, whenever you go on vacation, you’ll see a lot of wildlife.
The park is known for its best migration season, which runs from July to October. During these months, you can see tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle coming into the park on their yearly journey to find water and better plants.
