MARA TRIANGLE CONSERVANCY

MARA TRIANGLE CONSERVANCY

MARA TRIANGLE CONSERVANCY, It is huge—it takes up one-third of the whole Masai Mara area. It is on the border of the Serengeti plains, so it is where the Great Migration comes and goes, so you can see thousands of animals.Due to the difficulty of getting there by car, there aren’t many tourists in the area.
Because of all of this, the tour is one of the best in the Masai Mara, if not all of Kenya.

There are two natural borders that run through the 510 sq km (197 sq mi) Triangle. The Mara River, where the movement crossed, and the stunning 400-meter (1,312 ft) Oloololo Escarpment. Between these lines, people can see a beautiful scenery with red oat grasslands, volcanic hills, and riverine forests.

Animal Viewing and Crossing

Safarigoers will have a great view of the Great Migration, which happens every year from June to October and involves tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles coming into the Serengeti.

The Mara fields are waiting for this flood of grazers to come. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, and crocodiles in the Mara River are waiting for them. The “Big Five” animals of Africa are all here, and tourists have easily seen them all in just one day on the savannahs of the conservancy.

A little touristy

In contrast to the busy nearby national reserve and some of the nearby sister conservancies, Mara Triangle is a truly empty landscape… at least for tourists. The Triangle is a bit out of the way because the roads that lead to the reserve can be rough. Of course, this only makes your trip more unique and focused.

Many tourists find it easier to get to the area by plane, using the Serena and Kichwa Tembo airstrips that are close by. To keep with the eco-friendly philosophy, there are only two places to stay in the conservancy. This is done to further reduce the number of tourists.

Don’t Forget…

If you want to do something truly once in a lifetime, take a hot air balloon ride over the fields before dawn as they turn gold as the sun rises. During migration season, you’ll be able to see animals moving below you for miles.

Fly camping is real camping in the bush for people who want to experience the real thing. You should bring your own food, water, and wood for the fire. As well as self-sufficiency. In exchange, you’ll feel closer to nature than most people ever do.

Campsite Camping—The reserve also has a number of public and private campsites for people who want to stay close to nature but also value the safety and comfort of other campers.

Out of Africa: This is where many of the most famous scenes from the movie were shot. During your game drives, ask your guide to take you to some of these places.
